29-30 March 2021: Bit of a tour around some of the mid central of Victoria. Day one was following the GDT Castlemaine to Ballarat, which was mainly on singletrack and sometimes difficult to find the correct track. 253km 3,900m elevation gain, averaged 13.5kmph.

31 March – 1 April 2021: Tallarook to Mansfield (return) rail trail. Not difficult but worth the ride. 254km, 1,180m elevation gain, 20kmph. Day two was back to Castlemaine via the Mallee Blast trail south to north version, from Ballan, which was mostly on forrest trails.

  • Combined start/finish and late lunch spot on day two
  • Toilets all along the trail

  • Lunch spot day one, just outside Molesworth
  • First flat on this bike since I purchased it in 2020. Always on the rear
  • Good condition of gravel along the whole trail
