2021 650km Brisdivide route
2021 650km Brisdivide route

Is great to be finally traveling by plane to somewhere. I haven’t flown since July 2019. Made sure my cardboard bike box got on board though. For some reason or other my Garmin didn’t record the final 50km of the 2021 650km Brisdivide that started and finished at Mt Coot-tha in Brisbane Australia.

I can tell you that the whole ride was steep with almost 14,000m elevation, rained for more slightly less than half of the time I was out on the course, my mobile phone along with 2 out of 3 forward facing lights, 1 out of 2 rear lights and 1 out of 2 battery packs died at the end of day 1 or day 2, due to all the heavy relentless rain that I faced but enjoyed getting to the finish line in 4 1/4 days.

Found out after I finished the ride, that it was the mobile phone cable that didn’t work and my phone was fine. I have since purchased a new phone cable, along with new forward and rear lights, also I have moved the hydration port from the lower zipper on my framebag, to a new port that I made, to the top front part of the framebag, as I believe that the original placement for the hydration port from the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture), contributed to the water ingress problem that I had with the framebag.
